What are the aims of Foundation S?
Foundation S – The Sanofi Collective is committed to improving lives around the world, catalyzing collective philanthropic action and working with local communities to improve access to medicine, strengthen healthcare system resilience and empower healthcare workers – to create sustainable, positive impact where it is needed most.
We operate across three commitment areas:
Access to Medicine:
We are dedicated to improving access to medicine and support for under-resourced communities by providing emergency support and direct relief, treatments for rare diseases, and working to eliminate sleeping sickness through innovative partnerships.
Healthcare System Resilience:
We strengthen healthcare systems by collaborating with local and global stakeholders, empowering communities on the frontline of the climate crisis to adapt to new health needs and improving childhood cancer survival rates from diagnosis to treatment.
Empower Healthcare Workers:
We are committed to improving the wellbeing of healthcare workers. Through Care for Carers, we are providing support for healthcare professionals in France, enabling them to continue their life-saving work while maintaining their own mental health.

To achieve our mission of improving the health of communities around the world, Foundation S operates as a “Think & Do Tank.”
By working with global thought-leaders and experts, we create a collaborative platform that aims to identify cutting-edge ideas and solutions to address some of the greatest challenges in global health.
As a “Do Tank,” we then work with partners from around the world to translate our ideas and solutions into action through funding, advocacy, impact initiatives, and volunteering.
