1. Commitment

This accessibility statement applies to sanofi.com and regional variants of this website.

2. Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.

Sanofi.com and its regional variants are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA, due to the limitations described below.

3. Known Limitations

Despite our best efforts to ensure the accessibility of this website, there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions.

  • A skip links to bypass the top navigation is not available.
  • Focus order and focus visibility in the top navigation menu:
    • Focus order does not follow the visual layout of the menu in the desktop viewport.
    • Focus is not visible on some elements of the menu in mobile viewport.
  • Semantic details for interactive elements: Some interactive elements (buttons or links) within navigation and content lack attributes to clarify their purpose or value to screen-reader users.
  • Keyboard access:
    • The modal that appears when navigating to “careers” from the top navigation menu is not keyboard accessible
    • Some dropdown selector elements do not allow keyboard users to select all options.
  • In the “Global” menu:
    • One element has a semantic name that does not include its visual label.
    • One text input has a placeholder text with low visual contrast.
  • Content accessibility issues:
    • Some pages have an imperfect heading structure.
    • Some pages contain images with missing or non-descriptive alternative text.
  • iFrames accessibility: in some instances, our website uses iFrames (HTML elements from external providers) that may not meet standards for minimum target size and color contrast.

5. Preparation of This Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on December 2025.

To evaluate the current level of accessibility, the website was assessed using the following methods:

  • Automated testing using Deque Systems’ Axe Monitor.
  • Manual testing based on WCAG 2.2 level A and level AA criteria. This website was tested predominantly on Google Chrome. Screen-reader tests were conducting using Voice Over. Desktop and mobile viewports where evaluated.

6. Formal Complaints

If you have notified the website manager of an accessibility issue and you are not satisfied with our response to you, you are entitled to escalate a complaint to the applicable national authority.
