Sanofi to become major partner of the Tour de France

Paris, October 16, 2026.
Sanofi and Tour de France today announced that Sanofi will become the first company ever to sponsor the white jersey for both the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift.

The white jersey awards the best rider under 25 in the general classification, recognizing emerging talent at the highest level of the sport. This sponsorship brings together two institutions born in France and now recognized around the world: the Tour de France, first held in 1903, and Sanofi, a French company committed to improving people's lives through innovation. Both share a commitment to excellence and endurance, as well as the belief that progress comes from pushing boundaries.

Each year, 10 to 12 million spectators line the Tour de France route, while the race is broadcast across 190 countries and reaches an estimated 150 million TV viewers in Europe. Starting in 2027, Sanofi will build on the Tour’s reach to engage the public on health and science education through initiatives developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals and patient organizations. These programs will take place year-round in stage towns, fan zones, along the route, and online, focusing on prevention and patient support.

“The Tour de France has a unique ability to reach millions of people across France and around the world. We are harnessing this extraordinary reach in service of health,” said Belén Garijo, Chief Executive Officer of Sanofi. “Just like a cycling team in the peloton, where riders succeed by working together, we believe scientific progress is also a collective effort. Through the power of sport, we can connect with people, raise awareness of diseases and prevention, and make health information more accessible.”

"The White Jersey embodies the next generation of cycling at the highest level and distinguishes young riders who are already establishing themselves among the best," said Yann Le Moënner, Chief Executive Officer at A.S.O. "We are delighted to welcome Sanofi as an official partner from 2027, both on the Tour de France and the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift. Together, we share a commitment to celebrating talent, progress, and the next generation."

Sanofi is expanding the power of sports partnerships, turning global reach into meaningful health impact. Previously, Sanofi joined as a partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, raising public awareness of meningitis and diabetes in 2025 and 2026. The Tour de France partnership builds on that journey, continuing a commitment set in motion years ago.
